Butterfly candle holders are easy to make and a great gift idea. The materials are very cheap and you can use your imagination for a variety of designs. To begin, you must:
Material:
Small crystal chandelier
Butterfly wrapping paper
yellow tissue paper
Decoupage
Cuticle Scissors
small brush
Damp paper towel
You can buy what the glass candle holder, you (or some who alreadythere). I bought at Walmart for $ 0.59. You can also second-hand shops or flea markets to find.
I chose butterflies for my design, but you can choose any design you want - even taking into account the preferences of the person does. You can cut pictures from anywhere, including calendars, greeting cards, magazines. Thin sheets work best.
After a few pictures in mind, use cuticle scissors (like cutting the nails)for cropping. These scissors work best on small pictures and cut the corners round of regular scissors. If you do not plan to use the photo immediately, store them in Ziploc bags.
You can always buy decoupage craft store. Usually found with adhesive. To be able to fix the image permanently to another object, the object of giving a shimmering effect in general. Make sure you work the glass is clean. Tear off a piece of tissue paper into small (about 1 cm)Parties. With a brush, brush some decoupage on the back of a sheet of tissue paper. Place the fabric on the glass and then brush some decoupage higher. Continue gluing on a sheet of tissue paper, overlapping the edges, until the candle holder is covered (including the bottom - the support of the candle to dry). Brush a coat of decoupage last entire candle holder. Use a damp cloth, paper, clean any excess decoupage.
AfterDecoupage has dried for one hour (or more), the position of the butterflies (or other image) on top of tissue paper. First brush some decoupage on the back of the photos and put them on the glass. Brush another layer of decoupage on glass full, and set the candle holder on dry again. After the decoupage has dried, add 2 or 3 layers of decoupage after each layer dries.
This is it! These candles are only limited by your imagination. U.S.different colors of tissue paper and a variety of images from different subjects. You could do with these problems feast such as Christmas or Easter. They also make great birthday gifts, hostess gifts or party favors. They are very easy to do and can do more than once.
